Summary of the book - Floods

TITLE : Floods

Summary :

The book explain what happens in United States over the 1995-1996

there was a flood because it snow too much an then it was warm so the snow

melted and it forms a flood a very big one . So , president Clinton said that some

oregon countries and washinton ones were a desaster The flood was 4 feet more or

less .

It talks about the raintorm flood it floods because itrain too mucho in a short 

period of time . The water of the rivers go into the banks of the river , then it

goes to the sourranding land

It talks too , about the snow melt it is cause because there is too much ice or snow 

it depends and because of it isn't made well , when is summer and it's hot

it melts and it goes into the rivers and happends the same 

There are too , icejams that are like pieces of ice , very big pieces of ice that 

melts like the snow and when dams fail , it is because of the dams is something

wrong with it . It breaks and it flood the city . And the flash floods that are caused 

when a river of a mountain falls , city floods are because of the cities are not

prepared to a flood .

The chapter two it talks about the hurricane of the gulf of mexico , about the tropical  storm floods the are 

caused by the coastal flooding and about the Tsumamis that is a gigant wave 

created by a earthquake.

In the 3rd chapter talks about the volvano of venezuela in 1999 . It was dangerous . It talks about the desease too , there were a lot of deseases in Venezuela because , the plants grow in places were there was contaminated 

water , as a result some of the people dead .

In the 4th chapter , talks about the things that we can do to solve , and save the things and food . Geologist try to solve the problems and study the floods.

The dams nowadays are better constructed .

We can try to make the river bigger to hold more water 

And it talks about what we shoudn't do in floods like walk or swim in the water .

POINT OF VIEW : i think that the book it's okay because it talks abot what can 

we do about that or you can learnt a lot of things with the floods , or the types 

of floods 

RECOMENDARY WHY ? I recommend it because it is interesting , it's okay to know about the floods .
